CRITICAL THINKING VERSUS CONTROL STRATEGIES: REFLECTIONS ON PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND ON THE TEACHERS’ STAFF PERFORMANCE

The critical thinking brings as its main attribute the possibility of reflecting on daily questions in order
to learn about their ways of action, making it possible to modify them, aiming to reach the intended goals. The critical reflection is of utmost importance for the whole society, mainly to the ones who have the education as their field of professional acting, whereas they are in charge of instructing the critical and transforming citizen and to whom is assigned the task of solving and equating the structural crisis that society is facing and that is represented by the alarming levels of unemployment. This critical and transforming citizen is presented with the label of “entrepreneur” and he is intended to be the result of a consensus among antagonist classes that, nevertheless, are now supposedly joined with the main goal of finding a solution to this crisis. The present paper is aimed at promoting a reflection on this theme, in the educational area, outlining the course of this teaching modality analyzed under the light of the critical thinking, aiming to explain control strategies that can be implemented in a biased way under the pretext of being useful for the whole society.
