Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The contribution is original and unpublished and it’s not being evaluated by another academic journal for publication;
- The files for submission are in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format;
- The authorship identification has been removed from the file and from the “properties” option in the Word program, guaranteeing the journal’s confidentiality criteria;
- The text is in 1,5 line spacing; uses a 12-point font; applies italic instead of underlined (except in URL addresses); the figures and charts are inserted on the text and not at the end of the document, as attachments;
- The text follows the style patterns and bibliographic requirements described in the “Guidelines for Authors” area;
- The authors must be registered in the ORCID and present its number in the corresponding field at the time of submission.
Dossier
The Journal of Human Rights and Social Development publishes, at an undefined periodicity, thematic dossiers, always at the discretion of the editors-in-chief and assistant editors, organized by the journal's editorial staff.
Articles
The journal accepts articles in Portuguese, English and Spanish. These must be unpublished and original, as well as meet the scope of the publication. The submitted articles will be reviewed by the editors-in-chief and assistant editors to verify the thematic relevance.
Translations
The journal receives translations of scientific articles that fit the scope of the publication. The submitted translations will be evaluated by the editors-in-chief and assistant editors to verify the thematic pertinence.
Reviews
The journal receives reviews of books published up to 02 (two) years ago. Those can be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. The submitted reviews will be evaluated by the editors-in-chief and assistant editors, which will analyze the relevance of the publication considering the relevance, quality and adequacy to the scope of the journal. Reviews must contain between 5-10 pages. The formatting and evaluation rules are the same as for articles: unpublished works, with specific development and bibliographic references. At the discretion of the editors-in-chief and assistant editors, reviews of old works may be accepted, considering its scarcity or difficult to access in the national territory.
