Uma experiência nova na formação de licenciados em Psicologia

Abstract

An innovating experience took place with the involvement of students of lhe practical course in Psychology Teaching. This experience aimed developing the integration of teaching, research and updating. The course was supervised by two lecturers of lhe Psychology Institute and includcd the design ofa program; the eSlablishement of contents and leaching strategics; the production of didatic texts, the teaching activityitself and its assessment. The students taught a course to secondary school science teachers. In Ihis occasion they had the opportunity to reflecI on their own teaching practice and to analyse psychologicallythe learning processo The program was basell on descriptive data on problems related to teaching science, ohtained in research done hcforehand that were analysed by lhe studenls themsclves. The experience has shown that it is possible to integrate harmoniously teaehing, researeh and updating, focusing on the academic development of undergraduates. Furthermore, it was verified that the designing of didatic materiais made it possible for the students to aprehend and overcome the e'xistingdislance between the theoretical construction and the action of teaching. The estudents revealed the acquisition of some autonomy in conducting the discussions and the assessment made by the scienee teachers on the new teaching strategies -mainly related to the formation of scientifie concepts - presented during the course.
