Tratamento de anquilose na articulação temporomandibular

A anquilose pode ser definida como sendo a fusão das superfícies articulares, seja por tecido ósseo ou fibroso, que pode impedir o indivíduo de realizar funções que envolvam a movimentação normal da mandíbula. O tratamento é um verdadeiro desafio devido à alta taxa de recorrência, e não há consenso na literatura atual para o melhor tratamento. Este trabalho realiza uma revisão no intuito de verificar os principais tratamentos citados na literatura e ressaltar os resultados.
