POLYMYOSITIS AND KLINEFELTER'S SYNDROME

The estrogenfacilitating and androgenprotecting roles, regarding the autoimmune disorders, are already known. The male hypogonadism stateprovoked by the Klinefelter 's Syndrome canfavor the manifestation of concomitant autoimmune diseases, like Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Systemic Sclerosis, Polymyositis, RheumatoidArthritis and Hashimoto 's Thyroiditis. The authors report a rare association of Klinefelter's Syndrome and chronic inflammatory muscle disease characterized as Polymyositis.
