CHAMADA 2027 | Dossier: Zygmunt Bauman and Peter Berger: interpreters of religion in modernity

In 2017, sociology lost two big world figures: Zygmunt Bauman (on January 9th, with 91 years old) and Peter L. Berger (on June 27th, with 88 years old). Due to their long lives – both were born in the 1920s – they spent much of the 20th century and the first two decades of the 21st century not only as citizens of the world, but also as interpreters of contemporary global society.
