Tetanus simulating acute abdomen

The diagnosis oftetarias has become difficult because this disease is rare in big urban area and few doctors see it in clinical practice. A case of tetanus with abdominal pain similar to acute abdomen was present. Initial clinical aspects, operation and clinical evolution were reported and it was concluded that the differentiat diagnosis of tetanus in patients with pain would be necessary
in emergency centers for a better prognosis and treatment of this disease.
