Leiomyosarcoma of mediastinum in patient with goiter

This case report relates the necropsy of a pacient with goiter, in which it was detected a peritracheal tumor adjacent to thyroid gland. Pathologic features revealed soft-tissue sarcoma originating. From smooth muscle (Leiomyosarcoma). There are very few cases reported in the literature. and none of them is associated with goiter.
