SKIN, MUSCLE AND BRAN CYSTICERCOSIS

The cysticercosis represents the human tissue infestation with the lodging of the larval stage of Taenia solium. It is acquired by auto or heteroinfestation. The cysticerci lodge in numerous organs or tissues, most often the skin, subcutaneous cellular tissue, muscles, brain and eyes. The disease acquires clinical importance with lethal potential, due to the involvement of vital organs. This article reports a case o fa patient presenting cutaneous disseminated complications with subcutaneous nodules, muscle tissue calcification and brain calcification. The patient presented only cutaneous clinical features, without symptoms or signs of central nervous system complications.
