Psycological Approach In Obstetrics: Emotional Aspects Of Pregnancy, Childbirth Ano Puerperium

Abstract

The need to understand the psychological aspects that permeate the pregnancy-puerperal period is becoming increasingly recognized in the context of women's reproductive health care, especially given the efforts in Brazil related to the humanization of childbirth. When thinking about these psychological terms and contextualizing them to a clinical care practice, a reference is constructed that allows reflection and reconstruction of knowledge for professionals in the area. The objective of this article is to present a succinct review of the emotional aspects most observed during prenatal care, childbirth and the postpartum period, and in situations of gestational complications. Possible ways of approaching these situations are suggested that favor the elaboration of the most emerging problems in this phase of life of the pregnant woman and her partner, offering the health team the possibility of a broader, integrated and rewarding approach.
