MANDIBULAR CONDYLE FRACTURES: FUNCTIONAL TREATMENT VERSUS SURGICAL TREATMENT

Fractures of the mandibular condyle are frequent in facial traumas and their treatment represents a highly controversial issue in the study of maxillofacial traumatology, functional and surgical treatments being the two principal treatment modalities for such fractures. This paper proposes to analyze condy!e fractures from their multiple aspects as we/1 as studying the alternatives for treatment, as supported by the current literature.
