Unilateral policystic kidney: case report

The authors relate a case of a forty-year old man with a hypertension non-responsive to therapy. Complementary investigations suggested a rare disease: the unilateral polycistic kidney. Diagnosis was confirmed by histopathologic result. After nephrectomy, the man got normal blood pressure levels. He got outpatient department discharge after one year of attendance.
