CATALOGAÇÃO COOPERATIVA NA REDE BIBLIODATNCALCO: A QUESTÃO REPETITIVIDADE DOS TíTULOS NO CATÁLOGO COLETIVO

Abstract

The present research verifies the index ofrepetitiveness ofbibliographic registers in the general catalog of the automated net of cooperative catalogue BIBLIODATA/ CALCO. It identifies the main errors in the cataloguing of monographs, especially related to the determination ofthe main access points. It uses a sample ofthe general catalog in microfichas for data collection. The results obtained and analyzed lead to the conclusion that to elaborate catalographic register which Will be part of the general catalog ofa net ofcooperative catalogue, the cataloguers need to master their working tools, as well as accept the philosophy ofsharing and develop the spirit of cooperation. It is BIBLIODATA/CALCO duty to re-structure thepolitics ofcatalogue especially regarding register appropriateness.
