Abstract

The analysis of the crisis of the contemporary society is bound, in the work of Evanghélos Moutsopoulos, Greek thinker
contemporary, with an interpretation of the history. It is a question, for this philosopher, of interpreting the history like a
succession of crises and advisabilities of overcoming these crises, for a qualitative change of the direction of the human existence. Any crisis implies a rupture, a discontinuity in the temporal continuity of a society. And it announces the possibility, for this society, either to break down in the ruin, or to overcome the threat of rupture, by recognizing the favorable moment, the change appropriateness towards more-being, towards a new realization, in a qualitative level higher than that where it was
before. By establishing analogies between l´évolution of the history and the serial music, the musical running away, Moutsopoulos,
itself musician and philosopher, speaks about a close relationship between crisis and kairós, in our time.
