Abstract

This is an interview with Cardinal José Tolentino Mendonça, currently Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See, which took place on the occasion of his visit to PUC-Campinas on March 7 and 8, 2024. The questions and answers deal with topics such as: understandings of culture and education, the importance of dialogue, the relationship between art and spirituality, the construction of an experience of faith that integrates the body and everyday life, the place of the humanities in universities, the need to develop a critical perspective in relation to advances in technology in the contemporary world.
