CASOS DE CLEPTO-PARASITOSIS PARANÓICO EM MORADORES URBANOS
Abstract
Two cases of paranoid parasitoisi in urbanites ofthe interior ofthe State of São Paulo can be interpretated as kleptoparasitosis, fear of housing parasitism. ln the first case, the person recalled pest contrai services repeatedly and even consulted a medical doctor concerning inexistentdermatological problems. ln lhe second case, an apartment dweller bought and connected 43 air sterilizers to aliviate "insect" problems in her home. For clearly paranoid cases such as these, it is difficult for professionals which work in this area, such as pest contrai operators, entomologists, and medical doctors, to directthese persons for psychological attendance. Psychological problems such as these are not typically treated in psychological clinics, and professionals which work with "problems" such as these do not know what to do.
