25 años calculando los costes de la preservación digital

El cálculo de los costes es uno de los aspectos de la preservación digital permanente que aún está a la espera de solución. Saber cuánto cuesta preservar un paquete de información de archivo a largo plazo , ha sido una aspiración que surge desde que la comunidad interesada a finales del siglo pasado, se empezó a plantear el binomio preservación permanente aplicado al ecosistema digital. El objetivo del trabajo es analizar los diferentes modelos para el cálculo de los costes desarrollados en los 25 años transcurridos entre 1998, fecha del primer planteamiento teórico y 2023. Para ello se realizó una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura, junto con un estudio de los sitios web de los proyectos. El resultado ha sido la obtención de un diagnóstico sobre
la viabilidad de dichos modelos, las últimas propuestas aún en desarrollo, lo que nos permite poner de relieve los aspectos pendientes de resolver para lograr despejar el horizonte de la preservación digital permanente.
