A FILOSOFIA DA MATEMÁTICA DE CARNAP
Resumo
Este artigo discute a concepção de Carnap, segundo a qual a matemática deve ser vista como uma parte da lógica e tenta mostrar de que modos a versão carnapiana desta visão logicaste da matemática difere da de Frege. Dá-se particular atenção à sua reconstrução da verdade lógica em termos de convenção linguística. Alguns problemas relacionados com a versão carnapiana do convencionalismo são discutidos e são feitas algumas sugestões quanto à possibilidade de se desenvolver uma reconstrução convencionalista mais satisfatória da necessidade lógica.
