PROGRAMAS FEMININOS TÊM ESPAÇO NOS VINTE PRIMEIROS ANOS DO RÁDIO NO BRASIL

Abstract

The radio is a wonderful vehicle. lt plays with the listeners imagination though sounds and voices. When it was first introduced in Brasil, eighty years ago, the foreunners had to fight, and improvising was their way to learn. ln the study we have made of the first twenty years of the Radio, we have observed that women are rarely mentioned as a true participant in the beginning of the tranmissions in the country. Womem, however, had an effective participation in radio programming. They led feminine programmes and seriously discussed their problems. They were aware of the Radio role in their lives. Those feminine programmes had a wide audience and they frequently became their partners.
