ln this work, we have studied the female characters of some movies based 011 Nelson Rodrigues s pfays. We have decided for a psychological and social analysis, or bette,; what these women represent to themselves and to te world in sociological and psychic terms. The analysis has been baseei
on the texts of Ismail Xavie, Pacheco e Silva Filho, Sophocles (Oedipus King), Carmine Martuscello, Seabra and Muskart. O Casamento mui Toda Nudez será Castigada were analysed, rrnd two out of the three episodes of Traição were considered the most significant regarding the studied aspects. The researched women were Glorinha, Geni anel, from the last movie, Irene and Alice.
